Overview

The 72 Names of God - The guide is a modern digital guide designed to make the ancient study of the 72 Names of God accessible and practical. Unlike static PDF-like apps, this tool offers a fully interactive experience with guided visualization, authentic Hebrew audio pronunciation, and a clean, distraction-free UI.

It was built with a specific goal: to provide a premium, bug-free experience for a niche that often suffers from outdated software.

Motivation

As a practitioner, I struggled to find a tool that respected the user experience. Most existing apps were either visually cluttered, crashed frequently, excessive intrusive ads or required constant internet access.

I saw this as an opportunity to apply my skills in Mobile Architecture to build a “spiritual technology” tool. My goal was to create an app that feels seamless—where the technology disappears, allowing the user to focus entirely on the meditation.

Under the Hood (Tech Stack)

From a technical perspective, this project serves as a showcase for a robust React Native implementation:

  • Framework: React Native (Cross-platform codebase).
  • Architecture: Clean Architecture principles to ensure scalability.
  • Data Persistence: Async Storage for robust offline capability.
  • Dynamic Internationalization: A custom-built engine that allows language updates (Portuguese, English, Spanish) over-the-air without requiring a full app update.
  • Audio Engineering: Optimized asset management for high-quality audio with low storage impact.

Availability

The application is currently available for Android devices. (Note: The iOS version is fully developed and feature-complete, currently pending App Store submission strategy).
